Business Problem Solved

Managing the fragmented infrastructure for 25 municipal areas in the Gaza Strip was a challenge to us in CMWU to make one unique large database based on their geographical locations. We started to struggle with data collection, so we started a new feature survey with a small team and limited budget. During the last five years, we were focusing on data collection, ensuring the data quality from redundancy, making suitable layers for each similar feature, using the ArcGIS flexibility in topology and ArcGIS Spatial Analyst.
All the efforts were carried out with financing from four main parties, World Bank, UNICEF, ICRC and IDB, where those main funders tackle small parts of the whole picture. The work in data collection and survey is still going on with the assistance of the ICRC.
To benefit from the hidden and huge work carried out in the GIS, a web application has been developed in assistance with the GSE firm.
