Project Goal

The County needed simple, task-driven solutions that allowed departments to manage their authoritative data and share that data across departments and to the public in an immediate and mobile-first manner.

Business Problem Solved

Over the course of nine months, several business problems were addressed for numerous departments. These included streamlining field operations for emergency management purposes, integrating real-time election results from the State, tracking hazardous facilities, integrating various state and local data resources into a single web map, streamlining burn permits, and addressing veterans affair workflows.

Committee Members
County Assessor: GIS is the one of the first and last tools we use every day. We are a market value driven office and always analyzing the sales to keep us up-to-date with current trends.
County Engineer: The Highway Department primarily uses GIS as a planning tool. However, it is also used to provide information to the public. The highway department has been working to store, display, and recover various data pertaining to the Pope County road and bridge infrastructure.
County Recorder: To server Pope County by providing the most current land information and maps to the general public.
Land Management: With Esri's online tools we are able to provide information out in the field with tablets to make good solid decisions for planning and zoning.
