Project Goal

Development of an interactive web application used to access web maps and web feature services for use in facility management, emergency services, property management, planning & development of recreational facilities, and operations of daily activities for Arkansas State Parks. The web application provides desktop and mobile users with current data and geometry updated periodically through SDE geodatabase one-way replication and synchronization. Field staff in remote locations can use the mobile application to generally locate underground utilities, property boundaries, natural resources, and a variety of other assets for inventory, maintenance, and planning purposes. Editable feature services allow the user to update fields for inspections and condition assessments of assets and facilities.

Business Problem Solved

The web application is used by our accounting section to reconcile databases that track the construction and removal of facilities throughout the state. The program services section uses the web maps to create trail maps, campground maps, and a variety of other media and publications used for visitor information, marketing, and exhibit production.

Technology Implemented

The entire system is composed of ArcGIS Desktop (Standard), ArcGIS Server, cloud-based PostgreSQL geodatabase, local MS SQL geodatabase, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, ArcGIS Online, Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Online hosted feature layers.
