Project Goal

OPIR Analysis Tool Suite (OATS) is a service-based cloud architecture that allows NSG and ASG users to perform analytic operations on OPIR data, with the result being a product that can be disseminated. Numerous applications have been created and range from event to raster to maritime applications, serving a number of different and distinct user bases. Each application is meant to be a "stand-alone" solution - that being said, the user experience between applications is extremely consistent.

Business Problem Solved

By using OATS, users are streamlining their production requirements, saving both time and analytic bandwidth. By using the OATS applications, users are not burdened with the data acquisition portion of analysis, as it is fed to them via service-enabled data sources. The applications themselves are saving the user time and money by not being required to operate in a thick-client environment and not having to purchase and maintain expensive software baselines.

Technology Implemented

OATS is leveraging a large majority of components provided in ArcGIS Enterprise. Within the OATS architecture, there is ArcGIS GeoEvent Server to retrieve data to be analyzed, a 5-node Big Data Store to store the data, Portal Server to orchestrate the analytic workflow, and a cluster of virtual servers executing analytic Geo Processing Services.
