Business Problem

The Earth Observing System (EOS) Education Project disseminates Earth imagery, develops interdisciplinary programs, and deploys advanced technologies to the global K-16 education community. The EOS Education Project combines Web-based technologies and educator workshops for the interpretation, utilization and relevancy of geospatial information. We investigate how geoinformation enhances our exploration and understanding of the diverse and changing landscapes of the world.

ArcIMS 3.1, ArcSDE 8.1, ArcView 3.2a, ArcGIS 8.1, MrSID Geospatial Encoder 1.4, LizardTechs DjVU Command Line 3.0, LizardTechs Content Server, LizardTechs MrSID, LizardTechs Image Server, Microsofts SQL, Dell Server and Workstations, Windows 2000 Server, ArcPad 5.0, Garmin GPS 3+.

The EOS Education Projects development team consists for a GIS-Remote Sensing Specialist, a Geospatial programmer, a systems-network administrator, a project team leader, a communications director, a field-support staff member, GIS curriculum and technology specialist, an accounts and office manager, and an executive director.
