To provide GIS information and web-based applications for customers, communities, and businesses.

Business Problem

Having web-based applications that provide continuous GIS information. Currently, the GIS portion of the county’s website contains insight to what GIS is used for, a glossary of terms, frequently asked questions, static maps, a data dictionary, and the ability to contact us through e-mail. In development for the county website is our Pavement Temperatures Application, provided through Map Objects Internet Map Server (MOIMS), along with a Permit/Parcel Application, provided in Arc Internet Map Server (ArcIMS). Our Pavement Temperature Application displays the surface temperature of strategically placed sensors in county roadways. The Permit/Parcel Application contains search and query functions allowing access to information regarding property parcels within the county.
