Business Problem

Distribute geographic related information over the inter/intranet via a friendly, comfortable and quick user interface. Link several databases, across multiple platforms into a semi-automated process that would allow citizens and government employees easy access to address based information and display the query, map and related information in a simple format. Allow a "quick print" of request. Provide basic pan, zoom and query tools.

Technology Implemented

The end product uses ARCIMS to server the map images but is developed using ASP, ArcView, ARC/INFO and other software native to AS400 platform.

Development Team Biography

The Development Team was compile completed of inhouse staff assembled by the LFUCG Computer Services Division. The lead programmer and developer was Chad Cottle of the GIS Section. Chad is a MCSD & MCDBA with extensive cartographic, network and system background. The Division of Police provided source documents and other expertise related directly to site development.
