Business Problem

Inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, fragmented and non-compatible GIS data impaired Washoe County business decision-making and slowed information flow.
Provide timely, accurate spatial information to Washoe County, other local government agencies and businesses in an accessible, reliable and user-friendly manner to enhance decision-making and speed up workflow.

Technology Implemented

Standardize software and hardware platform for the entire County and other local government agencies. ESRI product is the GIS standard. Other technologies include relational databases, imaging, GPS, photogrammetry, and remote sensing.
