Business Problem

The system has been divided conceptually into three subsystems to provide enough flexibility to accommodate all the airport requirements as the following:
-Pavement Management System:
The elements of the pavement information system are the sectors of all paved areas in the airport. These sectors will be identified by their use or by defined sectors for runways, taxiways and aprons.
The system includes three databases: history database, surface information, and recommendation for periodical monitoring and repairing / replacing of the pavement.
-Utility Management System:
This subsystem manages the issues related to different discipline up to the buildings boundaries. i.e. Sewage, Water, Irrigation, Fuel, Power, ..etc
-Layout Management System:
The Layout Management Subsystem will comprise building footprints with associated building characteristics data, functional space use at each floor and rental data for each space available for rent within the airport.

Technology Implemented

We used the latest enterprise GIS solutions from ESRI (ArcInfo, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcSDE & DAK) to build our GIS infrastructure.
The latest hardware technology of the servers is used to provide high level performance for the solution.
