Business Problem

To make available to Kentucky's GIS Community the ever-growing collection of static map images, internet mapping applications, and downloadable data for cartographic and analytical use that is being created and actively maintained in the Commonwealth. Previously, GIS users had to wade through several sites to find information ranging from imagery to thematic GIS Layers.

Technology Implemented

The KYGEONET runs ArcIMS 4.0, ArcSDE 8.2 on MS SQL Server, with MS IIS 4.0 and New Atlanta's Servlet Exec. Hardware is Compaq Proliant Rack Servers and RAID 5 storage.
