Business Problem Solved

GIS isused to manage the identification, visualization and reporting on watersupply location and condition. Web-based applications support the quickassembly and distribution of the SWAP database. The success of the SWAP project and the GIS expertise that was gained from it has allowed DPH to move on to applying GIS to other agency initiatives such as public health preparedness, facilties monitoring and regulation, and even shceduling field inspections.
