Project Goal

VerySpatial, LLC was founded in 2005 with the goal of providing New Media resources, including podcasts and video, covering topics related to geography and geospatial technologies. Through our major outlet, A VerySpatial Podcast, we offer weekly episodes in a talkshow format that includes news, upcoming events, and a discussion/interview on a topic related to geography and geospatial technologies.

As our podcast and supporting blog approaches its second anniversary, we are excited to see that our listenership is steadily growing and we hope to continue to cover the people and events that make Geography and geospatial technologies such an exciting field.

Business Problem Solved

The current boom in geography brought about by the growth of geospatial technologies has created a disparity in the information chain in which those from traditional geography backgrounds must struggle to stay connected to the new trends while those who are using GIS and related technologies from outside geography are often disconnected from the geographic concepts that lie at the heart of the every growing set of technologies that are available in the geospatial arena.

VerySpatial attempts to bridge this chasm by providing information from a number of sources, from the internet to researchers in the field, in order to provide a broad overview of geography and geospatial technologies.

Technology Implemented

VerySpatial utilizes a variety of New Media technologies including blogs, podcasts, and IPTV to disseminate a variety of content including A VerySpatial Podcast, VerySpatial TV, and the AVSP Roadshow.
