Abstract GIS Applications in Groundwater Modeling Track: Implementing Survey Data in GIS Author(s): Richard Pugliese Geographical Information Systems (GIS) provide an effective tool for integrating, interpreting and presenting vast amounts of hydrogeologic data. We have developed a collection of standard and customized uses to effectively manage hydrogeologic information for many of our projects. Specifically, GIS is being utilized throughout several hydrographic basins in Nevada in which our company has been tasked with developing water resources for various applications. These projects demonstrate the wide-ranging flexibility and effectiveness in which these GIS tools can be applied for projects that vary in scope from the siting of wells to complex basin-scale impact analyses.
