ArcGIS PDF based Web Mapping Application for Municipal Development

Presenation of a PDF mapping application built from inside ArcGIS utilizing the PDF export in ArcMAP. The Web Interface was developed using an interlinked series of hyperlinks on maps and web pages to associate over 2,000 maps in a comprehensive GISweb Application. The website was published on the City of Waterbury's Intranet, and is now being utilized by all departments. The website contains many of the most commonly used map datasets viewable inside a web browser, also offering the ability to download the maps locally. The application has also been released in a DVD version that is distributed to Surveyors, Engineers, and Developers. Some of the data contained includes aerial maps, topo, assessor maps, wetlands, refuse/recycling routes, flood zones, school dstricts, Public Works wards, emergency management strategies, survey control data, sewer and water systems, drainage basins, zoning, landuse ....
