Abstract NILS Vertical Integration Track: Land Management Author(s): Robert Casias, Dennis McKay Vertical integration of the survey fabric or alternately referred to as linking, is the act of tying parcel features to point features within the survey network. The movement of additional Cadastre fabrics can be coordinated and moved into alignment by using the active coordinates for a point in the survey network. This vertical integration will minimize slivers or lost revenue and ease the migration of datasets, and once the links are established will ease the updates - these are a few of the benefits of linking. NILS consists of the application that links existing points in the survey fabric to the vertices in Parcel fabrics.
