Implementing Geodetic Datums in GIS

More and more national geodetic datums are being based upon the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) and ITRF control coordinates are being disseminated for applications in all types of surveying, mapping and GIS applications. Transformations between and within ITRF realizations are becoming increasingly necessary and relevant in these applications. Terrestrial reference frame transformations will be part of ArcGIS Projection Engine allowing users to perform epoch (time) dependent transformations within and between these frames.
