Project Goal
Farm Credit Services of America provides financial solutions for farmers and ranchers in NE, IA, SD, WY. The appraisal team’s vision of Automated Valuation Modeling (AVM) capabilities have been realized with the integration of GIS technology into their leading edge in-house real estate appraisal system. This system can be used in both a connected and disconnected mode. Users are able to view aerial imagery, Common Land Units (CLU), topographical imagery, and soil data. They can select, draw, or cut polygons. GIS data is used by the AVM and appraisal system to complete real estate appraisals and sales.Business Problem Solved
Increased efficiencies by integrating GIS into Farm Credit Services of America's real estate appraisal application. By integrating GIS into the appraisal system, double entry of land inventory data was eliminated. Use of productivity ratings was standardized throughout the real estate process.
