Project Goal

To establish a comprehensive aerial monitoring system for farms and ranches across Abu Dhabi that leverages high-resolution imagery and GIS integration to enhance regulatory oversight, data accuracy, and decision-making.

The project aims to:

Provide up-to-date, reliable spatial data for all farms and ranches
Support inspection, compliance, and subsidy validation processes
Enable integration between GIS and enterprise systems across Agriculture, Animal Wealth, and Inspection sectors
Improve data availability and accessibility for operational and strategic use

Business Problem Solved

Prior to this project, several challenges impacted operational efficiency and data reliability:

Outdated or incomplete spatial data for farms and ranches
Heavy reliance on manual field inspections, resulting in time and cost inefficiencies
Limited ability to verify farm activities and eligibility for government support programs
Lack of integration between spatial data and enterprise systems
Difficulty in identifying land use changes, unauthorized expansions, or inactive farms
