Project Goal
Chatham County GIS, in collaboration with Chatham County IT, implemented an ArcGIS Indoors based solution for the purposes of tracking IT asset locations and associated information. The backbone of the project is an Experience Builder application that allows staff to quickly visualize the location, age, asset type, and other related information to IT assets throughout county facilities.Business Problem Solved
Understanding where all of our IT assets are located along with what assets are close to aging out in specific locations. We were also able to consolidate disparate data sources, such as spreadsheets and siloed databases, into a single pane of glass for end users to manage their data.

Return on Investment
The ease of access to previously non geospatial information is the main return on investment for this project along with serving as a launching pad for other county ArcGIS Indoor projects. The ability to implement Indoors data into our county operations will provide compounding ROI for years to come since the bulk of investment is up front with developing the building data.
