Project Goal

SIICART born due to the need for representing geographically our potable water infrastructure, sewer and sanitation assets, the user registry and all the elements that ease the information handle in our organization. The main purpose of this system is to speed up the information process between our key areas and make easy access to our mapping system and also to digitize and modernize the data capture process.
In 2022 we acquired the most recent version of ArcGIS Enterprise and we stop using ArcMap, currently we have ArgGIS PRO for the layers and dataset management.
Thanks to this update, we have a new overview for analysis and creation of resources that will support our job efficiency, we can create dashboards and surveys with the mapping information that facilitates the data capture all in real time.

Business Problem Solved

The commercial, mapping and hydric information was not centralized or unified, making complications to generate reports and analysis. We decided to integrate all the information in one and only trustable source and we hired the ArcGIS Services to create a geodatabase in order to storage all the mapping data into datasets and later on combine it with the commercial information.
In this process we developed SII-CART, a web platform to manage the information through ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, developed by Angular and .net. In this Platform we can register, delete, or edit new geographic entities which eases not only the administration in the information but also internal processes and field job.
One of the biggest challenges that we face as an organization is the data collection.
