Project Goal

The Connecticut GIS Office has existed since January of 2022 and in that time, we have significantly improved the state of GIS in Connecticut. Some of our highlighted achievements include highly accurate broadband availability and adoption maps, a seamless and complete statewide parcel dataset, a highly effective and usable cultural resources inventory application, improved cartographic representations of statewide municipal boundaries, extreme high-resolution imagery and LiDAR data acquisitions, and a newly created GIS Open Data Clearinghouse.
