Project Goal
The main goal of the Community Streetlight and the Substation Modernization initiatives is to restore and rebuild critical infrastructure across Puerto Rico and to make a resilient electric system.Business Problem Solved
ArcGIS technology has been instrumental in the sizing, planning and
orchestration of LUMA's endeavors. The Community Streetlight Initiative deployed on Enterprise with 400 concurrent users engages external contractors and internal staff all leveraging ArcGIS technology. The workflow encompasses multiples stages, combining office and field work all using a host of different ArcGIS applications like Field Maps and web applications built on Experience and Web App Builder, but also incorporating a reporting application developed using ArcGIS APIs to produce PDF reports that are part of the billing process.
The Substation Modernization Initiative and Pole Replacement efforts rely heavily on the integration of Field Maps with Survey123 to complete inspection, vegetation management, repair and QC work. Fieldwork is supported by multiple ArcGIS web applications and a reporting component that allow office workers to track progress, validate work orders and tie the operation together.
