Project Goal

The Henry Ford’s Innovation Atlas is an interactive custom mapping tool with a robust geographic information system (GIS) that visualizes and raises awareness of education, socioeconomic, and other barriers impacting innovation in K-12 schools and throughout communities across the U.S. Resulting in a custom model, the Innovation Atlas Model that ranks schools, regions, school districts and counties on a scale of Least to Most Barriers to Innovate.

This model includes school and socioeconomic attributes and validated research, and then is applied to over 100,000 public, private and charter schools across the National Center of Education Statistics database.
