Project Goal
The Energy & Gas Dept. at Dalton Utilities was looking for ways to improve the efficiency of ACI inspections and keep crews from overlapping inspections with external contractors while also implementing a paperless inspection on customer meters and providing real-time information to upper management on the progress of this particular project.Business Problem Solved
Using ESRI software and services, we could fully integrate our ACI inspections into a digital format with real-time tracking. Field crews utilized mobile applications and could locate and track meters that were up for inspection this year much easier than previous paper work orders. Upper management was also able to coordinate with crews and external contractors on meters that failed inspection to resolve the issues that were present quickly. This project set a solid foundation for growth in digital inspections for multiple departments at Dalton Utilities.
