Project Goal
The core GIS team at WaDOH supports over 3,000 employees as well as the entire state of Washington providing spatial analysis and map-based tools to keep Washingtonians safe and informed in areas such as WIC, Opioids, Environmental Health – Drinking Water, Shellfish. A post Covid agency reorganization brought about new positions and a new focus on data modernization.Business Problem Solved
WaDOH had been operating departmentally with limited ability to access or share authoritative data. With Esri's support (Enterprise Jumpstart, Advantage Program, Adoption Strategy & Change Management, and Training/LMS integration) WaDOH began the shift from desktop GIS to WebGIS and from Siloed departmental workflows to collective and collaborative workflows.
Technology Implemented
ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise (internal base deployment) and ArcGIS Enterprise Sites version 10.9.1, ArcGIS Pro 3.0.
