Project Goal
Mobile County Health Department's Mosquito and Rodent Control relied on an antiquated system of paper maps and index cards with hand-drawn features and treatment records. Pandemic funding offered an opportunity to build a new system using modern technology by creating a mobile, map-driven workflow. We now have an online public interface reducing the number of phone complaints with administrative dashboards that allow for assigning and monitoring work assignments in real-time. Inspectors are using Field Maps and Survey123 to address complaints and enter treatment data more efficiently.Business Problem Solved
Mobile County Health Department's Mosquito and Rodent Control relied on a decades old system of paper maps and index cards with hand-drawn features and treatment records. Using GIS and Esri products to create a modern and technologically relevant system for workers and administration has made the process of pest control, a location-based service, more efficient and user-friendly.
