Project Goal
In 2022, Louisville, Kentucky made a Vision Zero commitment to eliminate roadway fatalities by 2050. To start this initiative, staff used geographic information system (GIS) technology to identify high-risk locations based on crash analysis and roadway design.Business Problem Solved

Development Team Biography
Claire Yates is a Transportation Planner with Louisville Metro Government’s Department of Public Works and Program Manager for Vision Zero Louisville, the city’s transportation safety initiative. Claire has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, law, and urban planning. Claire earned her Bachelor of History from Bellarmine University and her Master of Urban Planning from the University of Louisville. A lifelong Louisvillian, Claire is passionate about saving lives on our roadways through safer design, collaboration, and sustainable transportation.
