Project Goal
The New Caledonia government has been working with ESRI tools since 1995. Several areas of work have been identified:Business Problem Solved
Today, there are 50 geomaticians and cartographers who use the tools made available to us. It represents 15 managers who directly or indirectly use these tools for their business needs with the help of DINUM and its 'Geomatics and Remote Sensing' department.
In terms of the public service provided by ESRI tools, it is the GEOREP portal which serves as a reference in New Caledonia.
This platform allows:
Data visualization (a mini GIS that provides services)
A data catalog that allows users to search for information
The use of information (downloading of data or flow of information) made available to the economic world. 95% of the data is public and usable by all those admins.
Technology Implemented
The majority of the solutions proposed are based on the ArcGIS Online (AGOL) portal. The use of Portal for ArcGIS and the GeoEvent module are also part of the tools used
