Project Goal
Address and Parcel data are the very foundation to almost all Pinal County business systems. These systems rely on accurate and timely updates to Parcel and Addressing data. It was a priority to modernize our Assessor Parcel and Development Services Addressing solutions to remove duplication of efforts, provide streamlined workflows, and enhance editor experiences.Business Problem Solved
The IT GIS team modernized and expanded the County GIS architecture to provide enhanced service and security to both internal and external customers. The new architecture also allows for future expansion and adaptation with growth. The previous addressing and parcel solutions were designed and implemented in 2009, were ArcMap dependent, and used outdated APIs, limiting their functionality. Processes and system integrations were not well understood as there was little documentation and no remaining staff from the original implementation. Esri and Pinal County worked collaboratively to design and implement new and more efficient addressing and parcel environments, including a full end-to-end test environment.
