Project Goal

At Sherburne County Minnesota we process about 2,500 permits a year. Our goal was to create a customizable permitting system to meet the Land Use and Permitting needs of the County Zoning Office. The solution had to be cost effective, streamline workflows, enhance the citizen experience, integrate the existing CRM permitting system data, and be customizable to allow for future grow.

Business Problem Solved

The problem we faced was modernizing an outdated permit program. Through the use of GIS we created a system that allows citizens to apply online and track their permit, streamlines workflows, is mobile-friendly for field work, reminds our staff of critical deadlines, supports staff in better decision making, and is customizable.
