Project Goal
The goal of our project was to make the ALERTCalifornia camera feeds easily accessible to Esri users. We wanted to create a layer that could be used in organizations' existing applications to meet our camera users where they need us to be, whether on CAL FIRE's incident page or in a local fire jurisdiction's web app.Business Problem Solved
The ability for organizations to access the ALERTCalfornia network of cameras directly from their GIS maps and apps.
Technology Implemented
We leveraged ArcGIS online to create a feature layer that updates every 2 minutes based on our existing API. This process was implemented through a Python script and deployed using the ArcGIS API.
