Project Goal

H-E-B has established a centralized ArcGIS Enterprise deployment coupled with a GIS governance model that promotes consistency, collaboration, and best practices across departments. The ability to integrate Esri technology into core business has established H-E-B as a new benchmark for the retail industry, ensuring that GIS is not only a tool for analysis but a fundamental of security, operations, and emergency management.

The team has a goal of establishing a Geospatial Center of Excellence that provides internal value while also serving as a lighthouse to others by modeling industry best practices, by implementing established workflows, and integrating authoritative data sources and business processes, and continuing to explore and innovate.

The H-E-B Geospatial Analytics & Insights team works alongside teams like Data Science, Emerging Technology and Innovation, Store and E-Commerce Operations, Planning & Analysis, Real Estate, Loss Prevention, Emergency Response and more.

Liz Parrish, MBA, GISP - Sr Manager of Geospatial Analytics developed a strategic plan and roadmap for a highly impactful ROI which leverages passion, technical expertise, and business acumen to drive results.
Tracy Cain - Sr Director of Advanced Analytics who was the visionary all things possible by leveraging Enterprise GIS.
Neel Kumar - Sr Geospatial Sys Admin elevate the technical architecture that supports H-E-B not only today, but for years to come.
Rodrigo "Tito" Ramirez, Jr. - Sr Geospatial Analyst oversees the comprehensive work to assure data and app integrity aligned with corporate priorities.
Christina Parker, GISP - Geospatial Analyst who leverages a decade+ institutional knowledge, cartographic skills, and industry and market insights to support data-driven decisions.
Skyler Soria - Geospatial Analyst who has added significant value through identifying opportunities and proactively developing automations levering Python to streamline analytics and visualizations.
