Project Goal
The goal of this project was to enhance the effectiveness of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s traffic enforcement operations by providing real-time location awareness and communication through ArcGIS Mission. This enabled the newly formed LIFE Initiative Unit to strategically deploy officers to high-risk intersections, improving response coordination and ultimately reducing traffic fatalities.Business Problem Solved
Traffic fatalities were identified as a top organizational priority by LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill. Traditional deployment and communication methods limited situational awareness and efficiency. By implementing ArcGIS Mission, our team provided a modern, scalable solution for real-time coordination and data-driven decision-making. This addressed the critical challenge of deploying limited resources to maximize public safety impact.
