A comprehensive analytics and visualization platform that consolidates volunteer survey data from across 45 countries, capturing participation, activities, and measurable impact. Enriched with demographic and geographic context, the dashboard enables deeper analysis of trends, engagement levels, and regional insights over time. Integrated videos and curated links to each Habitat location help bring the data to life, telling the story behind the numbers. With interactive visualizations, dynamic filtering, and data download capabilities, the platform supports informed, data-driven decision-making to strengthen volunteer programs and maximize both global and local impact. A Spanish-language version is available in a separate tab. Technology implemented ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Dashboards, dynamic filtering and exporting tools, and customized pop-ups with embedded multimedia content.

Development Team Biography
Jack Orenstein – Director, Business Intelligence & Digital Impact (GeoAnalytics Platforms). With 20+ years in GIS, Jack built Habitat for Humanity’s GIS program from the ground up, making it a core driver of global, data-informed decisions. His team supports disaster response, housing resilience, and program insights using ArcGIS apps, dashboards, and StoryMaps. He credits IT leaders Brandie Michel and Scott Mills for their support.
Wade Ingram – Lead GIS Analyst. Inspired by Google Earth, Wade pursued Geography and Urban Planning with a GIS focus. With 10+ years across private, government, and nonprofit sectors, he helps teams use spatial data to solve problems and drive impact.
Dana Bissey – GIS Analyst II. With 15 years of experience, Dana applies GIS to research, environmental work, and mission-driven initiatives, turning data into actionable insights.
Ben Wittman – Sr. GIS Analyst. With 10 years in GIS, Ben specializes in spatial analysis, remote sensing, and data pipelines.

Situation Monitoring
Live App (Real-Time) – An innovative web-based mapping application that integrates real-time weather and hazard data from leading agencies such as NOAA, the National Hurricane Center, and other global sources into a unified GIS platform. Built on Habitat for Humanity affiliate locations, the application enables Disaster Resilience and Recovery staff to monitor events across the U.S. and globally, assess potential impacts, and analyze affected areas, including forecasts and flood-prone zones. With tools to extract and download targeted datasets, the platform supports proactive, data-driven decision-making, strengthening preparedness, response, and resilience across Habitat’s network. Technology Implemented ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Web Apps/Dashboards, and real-time data with selection and export tools.
