Project Goal

The project aims to provide a comprehensive national ordinance that supports development across the country of Kuwait that is sustainable, resilient, and adaptable. The ordinance prioritizes physical subdivision planning in lieu of land use planning. Uses are managed and mixed, not projected with specificity and segregated. The entire process is projected, tested, managed and adapted through a national GIS system that provides the framework for aligning over 100 individual sectors in the political, planning and development process, providing scenarios and measurable targets and outcomes.

Business Problem Solved

The major problem solved with the platform was the organization and coordination of numerous participants and stakeholders across the country, framing all efforts within a single, centralized database. This allows our client, the holders of the masterplan, a vehicle through which they can clearly present future development scenarios and manage proposed individual development against the overall development program for the country. It further reduces the subjective anomalies and prioritizes data driven, objective evaluations at the major planning level.

Technology Implemented

ArcGIS Pro, Urban.
