Project Goal

The City of Grand Forks needed to replace a legacy system that was used to manage Special Event permits. The City wanted to improve the process of both managing and applying for Special Events while also leveraging tools that were already available and showcasing the broad range of capabilities of a modern GIS.

Business Problem Solved

Using the Special Event Solution from ArcGIS the City now has a one stop shop in the form of a Hub page for both internal and external stakeholders involved with our Special Events permitting process. Event organizers can apply for a permit, view resources related to hosting an event, as well as view when and where other Special Events are taking place to help with planning. Citizens and internal stakeholders alike are able to view the Hub site to see what events are upcoming.
