Project Goal

Milwaukee County’s COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard was created to provide a holistic picture of the pandemic’s impact on the county so that our local leaders, stakeholders, and the public could make informed decisions around health, safety, and equity. As vaccines became available, the Evaluating Vulnerability and Equity (EVE) Model was created to inform vaccination strategy by targeting the most vulnerable members of our community.

Business Problem Solved

COVID data on testing, cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and vaccinations came from a variety of institutions and levels of government. The County’s dashboard compiled this vital information and presented it in a digestible format that allowed public health professionals to make recommendations that would keep residents safe, understand the disease burden on demographic or geographic lines, and equitably administer life-saving vaccines.

Technology Implemented

Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Online Dashboards
