Project Goal
The Mohegan Tribal CAD/GIS Doc. Control Dept. is responsible for regulating, managing and disseminating authoritative documentation for the Mohegan Tribe’s lands and facilities using a variety of methods and technologies. GIS offers optimum flexibility and scalability allowing us to incrementally build an enterprise-wide system that can serve the full spectrum of information we require. Our project goal has been to implement an Enterprise Geographic Information System using Esri ArcGIS software and GIS Web Applications that will not only provide access to the infrastructure information we manage but also provide analysis tools with which we can gain a better understanding of facility resources, systems and operations. We are now incrementally integrating GIS into enterprise business processes in a collaborative environment in which data for important assets/infrastructure are developed, managed and leveraged to provide useful information securely disseminated through web services.Business Problem Solved

Development Team Biography
Steven R. Marien, LS, CFedS, Director and Geographic Information Officer. He spent the last 12 years at Mohegan managing spatial information and providing the leadership and vision for Enterprise GIS.
Andrew Bowne, GISP, GIS Administrator. He has over 15 years of experience designing, implementing, managing and maintaining all facets of an enterprise GIS. His experience and expertise play a key role in the success of the Tribe’s Enterprise GIS.
Michael Palmer, GIS Coordinator. With the Tribe since 2007. He has over 20 years of experience in construction document management & construction project management. He is primarily responsible for coordinating documentation for CAD & GIS.
Lemuel A. Quidgeon, Senior CAD Technician. With the Tribe since 2006. He has 35 years of experience in Surveying, Planning, Document Control, GPS & CAD.
