In 2016, the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA) embarked on a mission to enhance their asset management by implementing Lucity, which is an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software. This required a standalone ArcGIS Server and GIS Feature Services.

Business Problem Solved

After several years of operation, YCUA faced limitations with their existing standalone server. They sought OHM Advisors' expertise to upgrade to a full base deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise, aiming to improve their geospatial capabilities.

OHM Advisors stepped in, guiding YCUA through the complexities of the upgrade. They implemented a streamlined workflow for field-collected as-built data, ensuring seamless integration into YCUA’s Enterprise geodatabase.

-OHM: Mike Cousins, GISP – Partner & GIS Practice Leader & Jamie Lau – Enterprise Manager

Mike is a Partner & GIS Practice Leader at OHM Advisors and currently oversees a team of 20 GIS Professionals. He graduated from Michigan State University. With 20 years of GIS experience, Mike is a certified GIS Professional (GISP) and a certified Esri ArcGIS Desktop Professional.

Jamie is a GIS professional with over 20 years of experience, with a strong focus on enterprise systems and database administration. A big part of her role includes bridging the gap between GIS infrastructure and day-to-day operations. She enjoys solving technical challenges and building GIS environments that are reliable, scalable, and helps GIS users to get the most out of the platform.
