Project Goal
Build and complete the national geographic database and modern national topographic map system to be synchronous and unified throughout the country on the mainland, seas and islands of Vietnam. It will meet management requirements of ministries, branches and localities to serve planning, socio-economic development, natural disaster prevention, response to climate change and serving the construction of national geospatial data infrastructure and e-Government.Business Problem Solved
After completion of the project, the national geographic database and national topographic maps covering the Vietnamese territory have been obtained at the following scales: 1:25,000, 1:100,000, 1:250,000, 1:500,000, 1:1,000,000.
The project has successfully applied solutions to serve the management, operation, construction, and updating of the national geographic database.
Technology Implemented
The project selected ArcGIS technology solution in Esri's centralized production model to serve the management, operation, construction, and updating of the national geographic database and national topographic maps. family. Esri applications were deployed within the project, including: ArcGIS Desktop Advance; ArcGIS Desktop Extention (ArcGIS 3D Analyst, ArcGIS Spatial Analysis, ArcGIS Workflow Manager, ArcGIS Data Reviewer); ArcGIS GIS Server (ArcGIS GIS Server Image, ArcGIS GIS Server Standard); Esri Mapping & Charting; ArcGIS Monitor; ArcGIS Data Interoperability for Desktop; Portal for ArcGIS.

The project was established on the basis of Decision No. 40/QD-TTg dated January 9, 2020 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project "Building and completing the national geographic database".
